The following link is a copy of the 2015 NYSAC Legislative Conference Resolution on Supported Housing that was passed on February 2, 2015 – 2015 NYSAC Resolution on Supported Housing.
As you know, ACL has been working with a number of other organizations to get support for rate increases for all housing programs. The Conference of Local Metal Hygiene Directors submitted this resolution for consideration by the larger NYS Association of Counties.
As a result, he NYS Association of Counties has adopted a resolution to support ACL’s idea that OMH should adopt a reasonable formula – much like the one that ACL uses – to determine Supported Housing rates.
This is unprecedented attention to this issue.
Please join us in thanking the NYSAC for adopting the resolution but, even more so, the Conference of Local Mental Hygiene Directors. They have been working with us since last August to help bring attention to the rates issues that we face. In particular, the Conference’s President Robert Long and Executive Director Kelly Hanson have been by our side at meetings at all levels of government to make the case.
