Dear SSP Interagency Outreach Workgroup members:
This notice is to make you aware of a change in the payment schedule for the April State Supplement Program (SSP) payments. Direct deposit payments for April will be made on March 24. The processing of paper checks is not impacted and checks will be mailed as usual to reach recipients by April 1. This one-time payment schedule change is being made in order to accommodate State Fiscal Year 2014-15 closeout activities.
We are conducting a number of outreach activities to make stakeholders aware of this change in the payment schedule. These include notifying our local social services districts (see attached) and SSA Field Offices, Congregate Care providers and financial institutions. We will also post to our webpage and include a recorded message on our toll free number.
