2017-2018 Executive Budget Proposal Summary

ACL has completed an initial summary of the Governor’s Executive Budget Proposal for State Fiscal Year 2017-2018.

2017-2018 Executive Budget Summary

Back in November the Governor asked all state agencies to submit flat budgets for the coming year.  This is the fifth straight year that this has occurred.  As a result there is very little new money for the community mental health system.  As you know, we have made funding for existing programs ACL’s top priority and have advocated throughout the year for rate increases.  One of the few bright spots of the executive proposal is new money for existing residential programs…  $10 million is included to enhance rates for all CR-SROs, SP-SROs, and targeted areas of the state for OMH Supported Housing programs.

We will provide you with additional information about the specifics of the proposal in the coming days and weeks along with continuing to advocate for further rate enhancements.
