Every year, we ask people who support the community mental health mission, whether it be for personal or professional reasons, to contribute to the political action committee. The PAC holds annual fundraisers, where its’ supporters contribute to the cause, and can gather together for an enjoyable evening. These fundraisers are the backbone of the PAC and where most of the funds are raised.
Advocates for community mental health, such as ACL, work hard at the grassroots level to propose and support legislation that will benefit our consumers and the providers who work tirelessly to serve them. However, we must also recognize that it is critical for us to support legislators who understand and support our mission. They need help every two years in their bids for re-election. The PAC allows us to send people to various political fundraisers to support their representatives.

the community based mental health system.
