The Governor’s State of the State and 2016/17 Budget presentation will be held tomorrow at 12:30pm at the Convention Center here in Albany. A link will be made available tomorrow on the Governor’s website (https://www.governor.ny.gov) to view the speech.

- Bolster New York’s legacy of environmental protection including allocating $300 million for the State’s Environmental Protection Fund. The Governor also announced two major investments in water infrastructure in Suffolk and Nassau Counties. These announcements were detailed earlier today at an event on Long Island. - Investments and initiatives designed to continue growing the economy and building stronger, more vibrant communities across New York State. - Investment in transportation infrastructure in Upstate New York – including a plan to keep Thruway tolls flat until at least 2020 and cutting tolls in half for those who rely on the Thruway the most. - Transform Penn Station and the historic James A. Farley Post Office into a world-class transportation hub. The project, known as the Empire Station Complex, will feature significant passenger improvements, including first-class amenities, natural light, increased train capacity and decreased congestion, and improved signage to dramatically enhance the travel experience.
