This message regarding the 2015 Patient Characteristics Survey comes to us from OMH.
The Programs that must report can be found in the Guidelines document on pp 4 and 5 provided on the website a the link mentioned below.
The Patient Characteristics Survey will be conducted this fall from October 19th – October 25th. On the PCS Homepage (www.omh.ny.gov/omhweb/pcs/submissions) you will find important information, including What’s New for 2015, guidelines and file upload instructions. In preparation for the PCS, providers have verified their program information by using the Mental Health Provider Data Exchange (MHPD) to complete the Facility Survey, and are now using the Security Management System (SMS) to grant staff access to the PCS application. Only staff granted access to the PCS will be able to use the PCS Practice Platform that will be available beginning on September 17th. If you are a new agency or have added or closed units or sites since the last PCS, please let your Security Manager know that SMS currently shows the old list of units and sites. This will be corrected by September 2nd.
PCS Training is scheduled for the dates and times shown at the bottom of this document. You only need to register for one of the two WebEx’s. Once you register, your WebEx instructions will include information on logging in and a call in number. The training will include a one hour description of the PCS Web application followed by a half hour of questions and answers. Additionally, a recorded session will be available at the end of September for review, but no question and answer period is available with the recorded session.
