OMIG Update June 2016

MCO ANNUAL PROGRAM INTEGRITY REPORT REPORTING PERIOD CLARIFICATION AND EXTENSION GRANTED

The March 1, 2014 Managed Care Organization (MCO) Model Contract includes a contractual obligation at Section 18.5 a) xix), which requires MCOs to complete an annual assessment of their regulatory and contractual program integrity obligations and to report to the New York State Office of the Medicaid Inspector General (OMIG) on their assessment.

OMIG expects that the 2016 Annual Program Integrity Report to respond to the MCO’s conformity with program integrity obligations between January 1, 2016 and December 31, 2016.

Therefore, OMIG is granting all MCOs an extension to file the 2016 Annual Program Integrity Report.

The 2016 Annual Program Integrity Report is required to be filed with OMIG between January 1, 2017 and January 31, 2017.
