Hi everyone – I listened to the recording of this webinar and I highly recommend it. It goes over the lessons learned by a NYC provider (ICL) in the transition to Managed Care. You have heard a lot of this before in our trainings and workshops, but it is much more powerful coming from a provider after the fact. In particular, I want to stress to the Rest Of State( ROS) that testing your claims is critical – two important takeaways here was that you MUST test but not all MCs will reach out to you to test. If that is true, they recommend you reach out to the MC companies to insist that they let you test. That said, there are many, many other important takeaways from this webinar.
Of course this is for all programs going into Managed Care now (clinic, PROS, ACT, etc.). Residential is not going in now, although they are still telling us that residential will go in eventually. However, for those of you whose only Medicaid reimbursed programs are residential, it still makes sense to follow the MC issues so that you are not surprised later.
