Statewide Survey: Community Engagement in DSRIP

As you likely know, New York State is implementing ambitious new health care payment and delivery system changes, which will impact how the State’s over six million Medicaid beneficiaries access health care services and how they experience care.  All New Yorkers deserve access to high-quality care and the chance to experience good outcomes, including Medicaid beneficiaries.  These significant changes, however, may disengage Medicaid beneficiaries from care if community-based organizations (CBOs) are not included in a meaningful way.  Safety net providers and CBOs are rooted in low-income, underserved communities and have a trusted history of service to Medicaid beneficiaries.

More information on New York State initiatives related to these changes can be found at these links:

Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP) program – http://www.health.ny.gov/health_care/medicaid/redesign/dsrip/

Value Based Payment (VBP) – https://www.health.ny.gov/health_care/medicaid/redesign/dsrip/vbp_reform.htm

MMNY is conducting this survey to assess the degree to which CBOs are engaged in DSRIP.  Please take a few minutes to provide information on community engagement in your area(s).  This information will be used to help MMNY assess what the needs are around the state for advancing community interests in local DSRIP regions.  It will also allow MMNY to conduct state level advocacy to ensure that the DSRIP process engages CBOs in ways that recognizes their strengths and addresses barriers to their participation.

Please complete the survey at this link.  Please note: We are conducting this survey in Survey Monkey, which is not accessible by all electronic screen readers; if you would like to complete the survey in an alternate format, please let us know and we will provide a reasonable accommodation.

We are seeking the perspective of community-based entities of any type from across New York State.  You are encouraged to share this survey with your members, affiliates, and partners.

Results of this survey will be shared only in the aggregate; individual responses to this survey will not be shared.

Thank you for your assistance in helping us gather this valuable information.
