OMIG Webinar # 24 – Mandatory Compliance Program and Certification Obligation OMIG Webinar #25 – OMIG’s Compliance Certification Process for Mandatory Compliance Programs If you wish to apply for these credits, please complete the Attorney CLE Application, which is available on the OMIG website at: http://www.omig.ny.gov/resources/webinars Please send completed applications to: [email protected] MARK YOUR CALENDARS – COMPLIANCE REMINDERS Mandatory Compliance Program Certification: Medicaid providers that are required to implement and a compliance program under Social Services Law § 363-d and 18 NYCRR Part 521 must certify each December that a compliance program meeting those requirements is in place. On December 1, OMIG will post on its website the 2015 certification forms. Deficit Reduction Act Obligations: Providers that receive or make payments under the Medicaid program of $5 million per year may be subject to 42 United States Code §1396a(a)(68). Medicaid providers subject to that law must certify each December that they are meeting the requirements of §1396a(a)(68). To ensure accurate and timely completion of these certification processes, Medicaid providers are encouraged to assess their compliance programs as well as determine if they are subject to and meeting the requirements of §1396a(a)(68) before December 2015.
