OMIG Publishes Three Compliance Guidance Documents

The second bullet relates to residential rehab services.  The guidance is very basic but it gives you the sense that they are really looking at just the basics (as long as there is no suspicion of fraud which would trigger a much more comprehensive audit).

The Office of the Medicaid Inspector General’s Bureau of Compliance has published three documents in the Compliance Library that may be of interest to various segments of the provider community.

  • Compliance Guidance 2014-05, “Mental Health Providers–Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Programs Risk Areas”
  • Compliance Guidance 2014-06, “Mental Health Providers—Rehabilitation Adult Services Risk Areas”
  • Compliance Guidance 2014-07, “Transportation Providers Risk Areas”
