OMH Supported Housing has a New NAME

Hi everyone – OMH has started to refer to their Supported Housing Program as Supportive Scattered-Site Housing.  You will see it referred to this way in documents, but hopefully, they will continue to remind you that it was formerly known as Supported Housing whenever they refer to it into the near future so that people don’t get confused.  I realize that some of you still may refer to Licensed Apartment Treatment programs as licensed “Supportive Housing” but that was dropped years ago and could be confusing with this new language, so I would change that if you are still referring to Apartment Treatment Programs in that way.

The categories are now as follows:

  • OMH Licensed Congregate Treatment Sites (Community Residences)
  • Community Residence – Single Room Occupancy (CR-SRO)
  • Apartment Treatment Programs –formerly Licensed Supportive Housing or Treatment Apartments
  • Supportive Single Room Occupancy (SP-SRO)
  • Supportive Scattered-Site Housing – formerly Supported Housing

Change is happening in big ways and small!!  Take care, Toni
