OMH Emergency Rule Making – Parts 524, 501and 550

The Office of Mental Health has filed a Notice of Emergency Adoption to repeal and replace 14 NYCRR Part 524 (Incident Management) and amend Part 501 (Mental Health Services – General Provisions) and Part 550 (Criminal History Record Checks).  The Emergency regulations are intended to conform OMH’s regulations to Chapter 501 of the Laws of 2012 (Protection of People with Special Needs Act) and the Justice Center.  The Emergency rule is effective immediately, and will remain in effect for 90 days.  The Notice will be published in the State Register on July 15, 2015.  OMH intends to file a Notice of Proposed Rule Making in the near future.
