Hi everyone – the state will conduct bi-weekly roundtable discussions with Managed Care Organizations. Please take this opportunity to get to know them. Even if you are not yet in Managed Care because you only have residential, it might make sense to attend to get the lay of the land. The issues that other Behavioral health programs face will be similar to the ones that residential will face once we go in. You can attend by Webex.

As part of the Rest of State Behavioral Health Managed Care implementation for adults, it is key that behavioral health providers and Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) connect and communicate on a regular basis to identify issues and best practices.
With this in mind, the NYS Offices of Mental Health and Alcohol and Substance Abuse Services and the NYS Department of Health have scheduled bi-weekly roundtable meetings, beginning Tuesday, September 6, as a forum for providers to connect with MCOs and the State to address any implementation concerns. In addition, this meeting will also allow the opportunity for the State to report out on behavioral health managed care oversight and monitoring activities such as; claims and billing data, authorizations, and other related activities.
New York State has set up 5 locations around the state with Video Teleconferencing (VTC) capabilities for the opportunity to participate face-to-face. However, space is limited at these sites. We are asking that organizations send only one representative in-person. Please
