The Mental Health Association in Ulster County, Inc. is seeking a full-time (37.5 hours per week) Program Director to supervise and oversee all aspects of the Residential program. The Director of Residential Services is to work toward the development of an effective program designed to achieve the mission of the Mental Health Association and the purpose of the Residential Services Program, which is to develop and maintain a variety of community-based housing options to enable persons diagnosed with mental illnesses to become and remain a part of the community and achieve their self-defined potential.

The Residential program for individuals with mental illness consists of 4 transitional levels of residential care, including a 24-hour staffed training apartment program, an intensive supported apartment facility, scattered supportive apartments, and supported housing within the Kingston area. This program provides services to 75 individuals and has approximately 20 staff members.

The Program Director will be responsible for all aspects of maintaining the programs, which includes:

All administrative activities
Staff supervision
Medicaid billing supervision
Fiscal management responsibilities
Also responsible for the recruitment of potential residents
The coordination of the intake and discharge of program participants
Working with local, county and state agencies as needed
Overseeing the Quality Assurance Program for the Residential programs including QA Review Committee, Case Record Review Committee, and Utilization Review, Incident Reporting according to NYS-OMH Regulations and attend Incident Review Committee Meetings.

Required qualifications include:

Qualifications include a Master’s Degree or higher in a Human Services field with 3 years of administrative/managerial experience.
Experience working within the Mental Health field is a must.
Experience and knowledge of Medicaid billing and OMH policies is required.
This position requires a clean and valid NYS driver’s license and 3 years of driving experience
