ABOUT THE DIRECTOR OF ASSERTIVE COMMUNITY TREATMENT

The Program Director of the (ACT) Assertive Community Treatment Program is to supervise all aspects of the ACT team providing intensive mental health treatment, in a multi-disciplinary mobile team model, to 68 adults with a diagnosis of serious mental illness and possible substance abuse problems seen in community settings, such as their homes. The Program Director provides 50% time to administrative and supervisory duties and 50% time to direct client treatment. The director will be responsible for coordinating the authorization process for Medicaid Managed Care for the ACT clients. Targeted coverage area is Ulster County. Services are constructed to meet individual needs, and are available on a 24 hour/7 day a week basis.

Additional responsibilities include:

Maintaining implementation of ACT program policies and procedures.

Managing staff activities.

Leading team organizational and service planning meetings.

Providing direction and supervision to staff regarding individual cases.

Conducting side-by-side contacts with staff and clients.

Responsible for Friscal Management and the budget of Program.

Ensuring all paperwork, documentation, QA requirements, and program billing needs are met.

Required Qualifications include:

A Master’s Degree or higher in Social Work, Rehabilitation Counseling, or a related field, OR CSW, OR Licensure/Registration as a Registered Nurse, Psychologist, or Physician.

3 years supervisory experience.

Preference will be given to individuals with experience on a multi-disciplinary mobile team.

This position requires a clean and valid NYS driver’s license and 3 years driving experience.
