2017 NYC HOPE Count – January 23rd, 2017

ATTENTION!

It’s that time of year again… HOPE 2017 will take place on Monday, January 23, 2017!  We need 3,000 volunteers to make this a success and your participation is vital.

HOPE is critical to helping us evaluate the effectiveness of our current strategies to overcome street homelessness, and has been recognized nationally as the gold standard.  This is in large part due to your help so please join us again this year. Volunteers commit to assist us overnight on Monday from 10:30 pm until 4:00 am.

We’d like to remind you that each member agency of the Coalition for the Continuum of Care has agreed to a goal of 10 volunteers.  These volunteers can be either staff or recruited by staff.  It is only with the invaluable help of all CoC members, that we will meet our recruitment target.

Please follow the link to the DHS homepage (www.nyc.gov/dhs) and click on the HOPE 2017 logo.  Please be sure to select your agency when asked “Are you associated with a member of the NYC Continuum of Care?” in order to receive credit for your agency.  Online registration is the best and easiest way to get registered for the event.  While all the training necessary will be provided on the night of the event, registered volunteers also have the option to take a brief online orientation.

We also need your help in spreading the word.  Contact the HOPE team for HOPE 2017 flyers, posters, mailers, or an email information package to forward to your friends and colleagues. They can be reached at (212) 607-5366 or by email, at [email protected].

Thank you in advance for your support!
